Nisar’s letter to President Zardari issued to media

ISLAMABAD: The media has been issued a copy of Chaudhry Nisar’s reply to the letter written by President Zardari in regards to the nomination of Admiral (retd) Fasih Bukhari as NAB chairman, Geo News reported.

In his reply Nisar wrote that there should be more than one nominee for the post and that Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry should have been consulted.

The two page letter which was sent to the President on Thursday stated that the appointment of NAB chairman was one the main reasons why the accountability bill was being amended.

“It seems the government does not want to approve the new accountability bill” Nisar wrote.
