MANUFACTURING HAPPINESS (Continued) - Posted by A.R.Shams:
A non-stop manufacturing plant that produces happiness is an essential need. That brings peace and heavenly joy.
I know a man at his 80's who on being asked, "what keeps you in fresh and joyful mood that often I noted?"
He just laughed in the presence of his spouse 70's, who too smiled staring at him and he said, "Look! I have a small house. We are 10 members living together in it since long. I could be unhappy for that, yet I am happy when I think thus that there are many others who have not this much too. I find them too happy. So I promised to myself to keep happier than those who have less than I do/did. My spouse shares my feelings about life. I love her. She loves me more than, I believe, I do her. Our descendents have picked up this great idea of keeping happy and working on. Our ancestors except a very few lived a remarkable happy joyful life keeping others around happy too."
Further, he said, "If in case I crave for anything I don't have I try my utmost to achieve that. However, if I can not get that much I desire, then I do not discourage myself. Rather, I change my thought condition saying to myself, "Nature may consider the whole of what I wished to have, is/was not reasonable for me."
The Joyfulness of a man prolongeth his days.

How many of us can manufacture HAPPINESS to enhance our world into a 'greed, hate, hostility and war free zone', when and where there will be 'love and peace' and 'heavenly joy' everywhere?
FAQ:
The only way to do that is to eliminate all the materialistic, greedy, bossy, selfish, hostile people of this world, unfortunately. Some people simply get their 'joy' out of making others miserable. Myself - I don't believe in hate, I believe in allowing others to live their lives as they wish. No-one has all good qualities, other people need to learn to accept that not one person on this earth is 'All good'.

Well said! But how to ......!

FAQ:
I don't always practice what I'm about to say, but, I find that if you choose to respond to hostile people with kindness, eventually, It could rub off.
Reply from A.R.Shams:
Its, of course, a marvelous idea practicable towards recreating a better world!

FAQ:
Your original question on this post defines the problem, Mr. Shams!
Too many of us are going around attempting to MANUFACTURE happiness and peace. It just doesn't work that way! A peaceful spirit must be cultivated --- gradually --- little by little, growing out of our relationship with the Creator. And so also is the case with serving other people and meeting their needs, as well as all other forms of righteousness. Happiness is the RESULT of all this. To seek happiness first is putting the cart before the horse. To do so will end only in disappointment.
Reply from A.R.Shams:
Your voice on the context sounds splendid indeed!
It may not be out of the place here to mention that once on being asked mother Teresa, "What kind of satisfaction in yourself you find when someone in your governance, look-after and such welfare services get well again?"
The reply from her was heard as a moral lesson for us, "When I find them happy, I'm happy and happiness continues persisting around dynamically."
So she is a symbol of a manufacturer of happiness, isn't it?
Once Edhi, one of the humanitarian leaders of the world, was also heard to present a similar statement in his usual tone and so on.
FAQ:
I believe in what you say but I also don't always practice what I preach.
..
Reply from A.R.Shams:
For that more essential thing we need is becoming more practical than theoretical.
Do we care about that very much?
FAQ:
You can't put a bunch of people in a factory, give them hardhats and hammers and tell them you need a freight of happiness by five for the next shipment. I'll agree that happiness can be cultivated and dispersed in a sense but not manufactured.
..
Reply from A.R.Shams:
With due apology, we are not very serious about terminological words, where to use what, rather I tried to apply practical aggressive force in saying, 'Manufacturing Happiness'.
What's the harm if we accept the fact that either manufacture or cultivate happiness positively, the quality product of the each as a result would be the equivalent, the 'Happiness', isn't it?
Have a pleasant time!

SELF GENERATING HAPPINESS
Posted by A.R.Shams:
Happiness, has been noted, is within oneself. If I determine to keep happy and contented throughout the day and night I find myself happy and keeping others happy too around me. Only some of my pessimistic moves often can make me and people associated with me unhappy.
I've seen people like one that who every time while meeting us just brings new and fresh unhealthy news for us. He/she narrates them in such a manner that we've got to be gloomy and keep long faced throughout the day.
Other ones, who are mostly welcomed for giving us company, come with bagful of humorous talks that help us keep smiling or laughing throughout our waking hours even when such ones disappears from the scene....

"DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY"
..
Reply from A.R.Shams:
We need reasons to become happy or unhappy. Being the best of creatures we cannot keep on the practice of "Don't Worry, be happy" in dynamism.
Despite many reasons when we have to be sorry, even then if we keep on smiling or laughing, there would remain very little difference between insane people and us (the sane ones).
Rather, by so doing constantly for only just , DONT WORRY, BE HAPPY, the latter nature of one may create a peculiar situation around him or her. I happened to witness a number of strange people of this nature either smiling or even laughing even when attending a funeral.
What a pity!
FAQ:
You might have many reasons to be sorry (unhappy?), I don't. I make a point of dealing with my day to day life in a positive rather than a negative mood.
If being happy means one is insane, then I guess I'm insane. Cool..
If it rains today, well, I'm happy I don't have to mow the lawn.
If it doesn't rain today, well, I'm happy, I get to mow the lawn.
If someone crashes their car through the hedge and tears up the lawn. Good, it's already half plowed up, I'll finish the job and put in a new flower garden. I'm happy.
The more you agonize over the things in your life that are making you unhappy, the less chance you have of ever being happy. So why bother, just be happy.
..
Reply from A.R.Shams:
I do agree with you in this point that you search the lighter side of every situation. That's, obviously, the optimistic way of living happily. Exploring the good out of bad is a great art . The one who can do so is the winner and happier than hundreds of others.
That's what I mean and claim the same in other words, 'Searching out happiness out of nothingness' sometimes, which may be considered as cultivating or manufacturing happiness and then peace of mind.
How do you think about this that has been voiced here now?

FAQ:
Mr.A.R.Shams,
Thank you for your encouragement. I will try to write more and practice more. I was pleased to read some of your messages, they are wonderful and profound.
Sometimes, happiness is in deep disguise of some unfortunate things. Such as, illness can bring someone wisdom about how to protect himself/herself better, or let someone know what he/she can do or what he/she can not and know how to live healthier than before.
