AMAZING & INTERESTING AWARENESS WELFARE (A&IAW): Alligator found under escalator at Chicago airport

// CHICAGO: A small alligator found under an escalator at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport has left authorities puzzled.

A maintenance worker discovered the alligator, which is about a foot (30 centimeters) long, on Friday in Terminal 3, Chicago Police spokesman Jose Estrada said Sunday.

An officer captured the reptile by putting a trash can over it.

``We don't know where it came from or how long it'd been residing in the airport facilities,'' Estrada said. ``It's one of those random incidents.''

The gator is now being cared for by the Chicago Herpetological Society.

``It was in pretty bad shape,'' said Jason Hood, the group's president. ``We're trying to get it healthy and find a place for it.''........ //

HEALTH AWARENESS WELFARE (HAW):   Malaysia warns on dengue as deaths spike

// KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian health official on Monday warned citizens to take steps to eliminate mosquito breeding spots as dengue fever cases have spiked.

The number of reported cases of the infection, which causes severe fever, headaches and joint pain and can trigger fatal haemorrhaging and death, has soared compared to last year, and deaths have doubled.

Between January and late October, 28,200 cases and 60 deaths were recorded, according to government statistics.

There were 17,800 cases and 29 deaths during the same period last year.

Officials have said a key factor has been frequent heavy downpours in recent weeks.

The disease is spread by the Aedes aegypti mosquito which, like other mosquitos, breeds in stagnant water and other damp spots..............//

// WASHINGTON: US scientists seeking to unravel the mysteries of HIV have made an important breakthrough after capturing the clearest image yet of a protein which allows the deadly virus to attack human immune cells, new research showed Tuesday.

Scientists at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) and Weill Cornell Medical College have managed to obtain a detailed view of the atomic structure of the protein which envelops HIV, the virus which causes AIDS.

The development could potentially pave the way for a vaccine, according to the findings published in the US journal Science.

"In order to develop a vaccine, you have to understand what bits on that very important trimeric protein can be recognizes by broadly neutralizing antibodies," said Scripps Institute cell biologist Bridget Carragher............//

// RIYADH: Saudi Arabia says one more person has died from a new respiratory virus related to SARS, bringing to 52 the number of deaths in the kingdom at the center of the outbreak.

The Health Ministry said Monday that an 83-year-old woman died over the weekend. She was among 124 people who have been infected with the virus in Saudi Arabia since September last year.

The new virus is related to SARS, or severe acute respiratory syndrome, which killed some 800 people in a global outbreak in 2003. It belongs to a family of viruses that most often causes the common cold.

It emerged in the Middle East and can cause rapid kidney failure but doesn't seem as infectious as SARS. It has been dubbed MERS, or Middle East respiratory syndrome. (AP)//

LEGAL AWARENESS WELFARE (LAW):

It should be taken as an act of wisdom on the part of US to stop spying other country government executes for ever, which is understood as immoral and unlawful for any country government of the world. Otherwise, it could be possible that US would cultivate more enemies than friends around the world that ultimately could make US quite an isolated country in the world and also could be dismembered from almost all the International Communities e.g. UN and its allied organizations.
