Every couple argues, and some conflict may not be bad for building a relationship. But when spats become heated, that’s when blame, criticism and name-calling spew forth, sometimes unintentionally. And too much of that isn’t as good for marital happiness, as plenty of research shows.

There are no secrets to stopping the tirade — each couple has their own way of resolving differences. But, say researchers from the University of California Berkeley and Northwestern University, the happiness of a marriage may depend in part on who makes the first conciliatory move to lower the emotional temperature........//

For saving a marriage to last forever is compromising and understanding each of the spouses mutually avoiding to much of arguments, quarrel or fight, as per my observational experience.

Typhoon Haiyan: Survivors in Philippines face grim struggle - CNN.com
Survivors of Typhoon Haiyan line up at the airport in Tacloban, Philippines, to board a U.S. military C-130 for Manila on Monday, November 11. One of the strongest storms in recorded history, Haiyan laid waste to the Philippines. Officials say that as many as 10,000 people may have died in the storm.

Nature has devastated Philippines and it will itself remake it when the world would care to help it with its aid forthwith on humanitarian ground.
